The highly anticipated movie Bad Newz, featuring Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk, and Vicky Kaushal, is scheduled to release on July 19, 2024. In the lead-up to its release, the filmmakers have dropped a new song, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, which is a reimagined version of a classic hit from the iconic film Duplicate, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.
Unfortunately, the remake has failed to impress fans, who feel that it does not live up to the original's standards, and that the makers have unnecessarily tampered with a timeless classic, leaving them disheartened and disappointed.
Bad Newz Song Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam Disappoints Fans
The music video of Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam features Vicky and Triptii's romantic dance, their rivalry with Ammy Virk, and a horror story twist. Despite the interesting plot, fans are disappointed with the remake's background score, feeling it doesn't match the original's quality.
A netizen commented, “ruined a classic srk song. i’m surprised kjo allowed this … atleast the other songs from the movie are originals and not bad at all! but why touch a beautiful memorable melody,” another one wrote, “RIP to one of my favourite songs again… why can't they use the original one...we know it anyway that it is not yours...and ur own creativity spoils the way it was loved for years,” a person also commented, “Why do they have to ruin my favorite childhood song like this?” a netizen wrote, “Can’t imagine this song without SRK Juhi Sonali grooving in it, sorry. Too struck in the 90s,” others also dropped similar comments.
The film Bad Newz offers a unique plotline. Similar to Dharma Productions' previous film Good Newwz, which featured a mix-up during IVF that swapped the sperm donors of two would-be mothers, Bad Newz presents another biological mix-up with a twist: two men end up as the fathers to a pregnant woman in a comical mix-up. This never-before-seen concept has already piqued the interest of audiences. Bad Newz is all set to hit the theatres on July 19, 2024.
