Netflix's fictional period drama 'Bridgerton' has finally returned with its third season and fans couldn't be more excited. The new season will focus on Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton's love story, which has been highlighted since the first season. In the first part of 'Bridgerton Season 3', Indian fans were delighted to Banita Sandhu in the role of Miss Malhotra.

For the unversed, Banita Sandhu has starred in critically acclaimed movies 'October' and 'Sardar Udham'. Indian fans of 'Bridgerton' were delighted and surprised to see the talented actress in the show. See how netizens reacted:

Apart from Banita, the show stars Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton in the lead roles as Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton respectively. Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips and James Phoon are the new additions to the star cast. Adjoa Andoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, and Simone Ashley have reprised their roles from the previous seasons.

In an interview with India Today, Nichola Coughlan talked about the easter eggs and clues about the future seasons. She said, "There are a lot of, I don't know necessarily whether they are easter eggs, but there's lots of book lines that have made their way into this season, which I hope the book fans are really going to love."

Talking about the changes in her costume, she added, "There are little things in our costumes that are like reference to each other's costumes sometimes. So Penelope goes to Genevieve and she wants to wear stuff like they're wearing in Paris, because Colin has just come back from Paris. Colin has got butterflies on some of his waistcoats and his corsets as well. So better watch out as there are a lot of clues for everyone to enjoy.”

In 'Bridgerton Season 3', Penelope Featherington tries to give up her feelings for Colin Bridgerton after he belittles her in front of his friends. She will now focus on finding a husband who will respect her independence and she also wants to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown. Finding a husband does not come easy to Penelope due to a lack of confidence.

Colin feels disappointed after seeing Penelope giving cold shoulder to him. To win her friendship back, Colin helps Penelope attract a perfect husband and also struggles to figure out his true feelings for her.
