Ira Khan, the daughter of superstar Aamir Khan and film producer Reena Dutta, exchanged vows with her longtime partner, Nupur Shikhare, on Wednesday. The intimate ceremony took place at a luxurious five-star hotel in Bandra, where they registered their marriage. Among the attendees were their immediate family members, including Aamir Khan, along with his ex-wives Reena and Kiran Rao, Imran Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Prior to the ceremony, the groom-to-be was spotted jogging to the venue.
Ahead of his wedding, Nupur opted for an unconventional mode of arrival, choosing to jog with his friends through heavy traffic to the Taj Lands End, the wedding venue. His casual attire, sporting a vest and shorts, caught attention as paparazzi captured the unique sight, making the video viral on the internet. He later danced along with his friends to dhol beats outside the venue.

The groom kept to his athleisure outfit even during the registration of the marriage, continuing the trend. Now, the widely circulating videos showcasing Ira in ethnic and in his workout clothes has invited massive trolling and diverse opinions regarding the groom's attire during the registry. A user wrote, "They think it is cool to do different… But don’t know sometimes different thing make you wierd also." Another added, "Ladka sidhe gym se aaya tha shadi karne." A third comment read, "Baniyan Mein Dulha? aisi kya majboori thi?"

On their wedding day, Ira adorned a stunning blue, and peach lehenga paired with traditional jewelry, exuding elegance. Meanwhile, Nupur opted for a striking blue sherwani for their initial appearance. Following the registry, the couple posed happily alongside their families, capturing heartwarming moments on this special occasion.

Reportedly, after their recent wedding, Ira and Nupur are set for another celebration with a wedding ceremony scheduled in Udaipur on January 8. Following this, a lavish reception in Mumbai is planned for January 13. The couple, who have been together for more than three years, initially got engaged in November 2023, continuing their journey with upcoming festivities to mark their union.
