Bastar Trailer: Directed by Sudipto Sen and starring Adah Sharma in a pivotal role, the trailer of 'Bastar: The Naxal Story' is out AND it is impressive. Promising to enthrall audiences on a grand scale, the trailer presents a gripping compilation of intense moments, showcasing the harsh realities of Naxalite violence. It includes disturbing scenes of CRPF Jawans facing the insurgency, capturing the brutality of the conflict.
Bastar: The Naxal Story explores the controversial incident involving alleged celebrations by JNU students over Jawans' deaths. Amidst the turmoil, IPS Neerja Madhvan, played by Adah Sharma, assumes the responsibility of combating the Maoists. The trailer opens with the Maoists being labeled as 'the third-largest terrorist organisation'. Further it reveals the shocking sequences of human atrocities, depicting individuals enduring brutal mutilation and innocent children becoming victims of senseless violence. Moreover, it portrays political figures being targeted and innocent civilians being hanged, intensifying the trailer's gripping narrative.

Additionally, it also highlights claims that Maoists have caused more soldier casualties than conflicts with Pakistan, and depicts instances of individuals being killed for raising the Indian flag.
Talking about the film, director Sudipto Sen shared, "Adah went to Bastar, as she wanted to take blessings from Danteswari Mata, which is the most reckoning temple in Bastar. People of Bastar believe that all auspicious work needs the blessings of Danteswari Mata. She wanted to learn the basic nuances of jungle warfare and arms handling and also wanted to meet women in the CRPF and Chhattisgarh police who are actually fighting battles on the ground."
The film produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Sunshine Pictures and co-produced by Aashin A. Shah, is scheduled for a global theatrical release on March 15, 2024.
