Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have crafted remarkable films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath-Saath Hain and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, earning adoration from audiences. Now, as fans eagerly anticipated their collaboration for 'Prem Ki Shaadi,' there are speculations that the Tiger 3 actor has been replaced.

According to reports, although the film was scheduled to commence production this year, Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have decided to part ways. Nevertheless, the director remains eager to proceed with the film and is considering casting another actor. According to the latest reports from Peepingmoon, Sooraj Barjatya is exploring young actors for the lead role and is reportedly considering Shahid Kapoor. Also, he is currently revising the script and adjusting the age of the protagonist accordingly.

"When Salman left the movie, he immediately approached Shahid, who also played the role of ‘Prem’ in his 2006 romantic drama, Vivah. Both have met multiple times, and their conversations thus far point to the possibility of their reunion after 18 years," the portal stated.

What's more for Shahid Kapoor?

Shahid Kapoor is currently in the spotlight due to his upcoming film 'Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', where he shares the screen with Kriti Sanon in a significant role. Additionally, there's exciting news for Shahid's admirers regarding his web series, 'Farzi 2'. The first season of Shahid's debut web series, 'Farzi', premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 10, 2023, leaving his fans eagerly anticipating its sequel.

The confirmation of the second season of this web series has surfaced. In a statement regarding the release date of 'Farzi 2', Shahid Kapoor emphasized the notion that quality projects require time and rushed efforts often result in subpar outcomes. According to reports, the anticipated release for the sequel is slated for the end of 2025.

Joining the cast alongside Kapoor are KK Menon, Raashi Khanna, and Bhuvan Arora. The series delves into the narrative of a disillusioned artist who embarks on a journey to counterfeit money.
