The Korean film and music industry has taken the entertainment world by storm. Now, Korean animations are also stepping up with the release of an upcoming animated film ‘Bastions’. To create more hype for the film, the makers of 'Bastions' have roped in K-pop bands like BTS, LE SSERAFIM, etc to produce or sing the OST.
Bastions Release Date:
Bastions will release on Crunchyroll excluding China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, North Korea, and South Korea on May 13. Indian audience can watch the series on the premiere date as well.
Bastions OST:
A physical album for the original soundtracks of Bastions will be released with the BTS-sung track ‘The Planet’ on May 25. The girl group LE SSERAFIM, soloists Heize and AleXa have also lent their voices for the OST of the series.
Bastions Plot:
The series revolves around a group of idols who will come together and join forces to save the planet. The boys become a team of superheroes after getting superpowers and face off against an enemy threatening human life on Earth.
Talking about BTS, the K-pop group is currently on a hiatus to focus on their solo projects and move forward with their military enlistment. BTS recorded the OST of 'Bastions' before their hiatus.
J-hope and Jin have already started their mandatory military service. Announcing the military enlistment of BTS, Bighit Music said in a statement, "BIGHIT MUSIC is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfil their military service. After the phenomenal concert to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavours, it’s a perfect time and the members of BTS are honoured to serve."
On the work front, V was recently seen in the variety show 'Jinny's Kitchen' streaming on Prime Video. He was the youngest member to join the team of Jinny's Kitchen. J-hope recently released his solo album 'Jack in the box'. Later, Suga also released his album 'D-Day' and released his documentary 'Suga: Road To D-Day'.
Meanwhile, Jungkook and V are currently working on their upcoming solo albums.
