‘Kaithi’ is a gripping Indian Tamil-language action thriller film from 2019, helmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures, with co-production by Tiruppur Vivek under Vivekananda Pictures, the film features Karthi in the lead role. Jigarthanda Double X (Netflix)
‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’ is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action drama, written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film is a collaborative production between Karthik Subbaraj, Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, S. Kathiresan, and Alankar Pandian under the banners of Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations, and Invenio Origin. Serving as a spiritual successor and prequel to the 2014 film "Jigarthanda," the movie features Raghava Lawrence, S. J. Suryah, and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles. Set against the backdrop of the 1970s, the storyline follows an aspiring policeman's journey as he infiltrates a gangster's world by posing as a filmmaker, aiming to eliminate him.
Vishwaroopam (Dinsey+Hotstar)
‘Vishwaroopam’ (titled "Vishwaroop" in Hindi, meaning "The magnificent incarnation") is a 2013 Indian action spy film. It is co-written, directed, and produced by Kamal Haasan, who also portrays the lead role. The film boasts a stellar cast including Rahul Bose, Shekhar Kapur, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Nassar, and Jaideep Ahlawat in supporting roles. Kamal Haasan collaborated on the screenplay with Chakri Toleti and Atul Tiwari. ‘Ratsasan’ is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language psychological crime thriller film directed by Ram Kumar, renowned for his work on ‘Mundasupatti’ (2014). The movie stars Vishnu Vishal, Amala Paul, and Saravanan in lead roles, with Kaali Venkat, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, and Ramdoss playing supporting characters. Vikram Vedha (Zee5)
‘Vikram Vedha’ is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language neo-noir action thriller film, penned and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri. The movie is jointly produced by YNOT Studios, Friday Filmworks, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films, and Jio Studios. Serving as a remake of the director duo's 2017 Tamil film of the same title, it draws inspiration from the Indian folktale Vetala Panchavimshati. The film stars Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan in the lead roles as the titular anti-heroes, supported by Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, and Yogita Bihani.
