The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are set to bring the usual star-studded excitement on September 11, airing live from the UBS Arena in New York. This year promises a blend of iconic performances and historic wins, with rap sensation Megan Thee Stallion hosting the event for the first time. While the VMAs traditionally showcase a variety of global talent, Kpop has steadily become an integral part of the ceremony, and this year, Kpop stars Lisa (of BLACKPINK) and girl group LE SSERAFIM will represent the genre on one of the biggest stages.
Lisa, from BLACKPINK, is set to make history as the first Kpop solo artist to perform at the VMAs. LE SSERAFIM will also grace the stage, marking a significant moment for the girl group as they take their place in the spotlight. With only a handful of Kpop groups having performed at the VMAs in the past, the 2024 edition looks to expand Kpop's growing influence on this prestigious platform.
