Several celebrities like Esha Gupta, Hema Malini, Milind Soman, Chris Martin and Sonu Sood have visited Prayagraj to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela and to take the holy dip in the sacred river. Recently, comedian Bharti Singh shared that she wanted to visit Maha Kumbh but was scared to hear the frequent sad news (like the stampede situation that occurred a few days ago). The comedian also mentioned that she is scared thinking about taking her son to Maha Kumbh. 

When asked if she would want to visit Maha Kumbh, Bharti said “Behosh ho kar marne, ya bicchadne (To faint and die or get lost)? Mera itna zyada mann tha na main jaun, but day by day aisi news aati jaa rahi hain, Gole ko lekar jaana toh rehne do bhai (I really wanted to go but day by day I hear such sad news from there and I can’t think about taking my son and going there).” The comment section of the post has been disabled. 

Recently, Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra visited Maha Kumbh Mela to seek divine blessings as they embark on the journey of their upcoming movie Vadh 2. The makers also shared some glimpses from their visit on Instagram and wrote, “Thrilled to embark on our journey with #Vadh2 as we seek divine blessings at Mahakumbh - in the heart of Prayagraj! Vadh 2 directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, features Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, and is produced by Luv Ranjan & Ankur Garg.” While sharing her experience, actress Neena Gupta also said to media, “I have never seen anything like this before.”

Notably, Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the largest gatherings in India which attracts millions of people who take a holy dip in Ganga. This year the event began on January 13 and will continue till February 26.
