Bhavna Chauhan, who was featured alongside Ranveer Singh and adult star Johnny Sins in a commercial for a sexual healthcare brand, addressed the backlash the ad faced. Bhavna, known for her roles in the TV show Razia Sultan (2015), as well as films like Shikara (2020) and Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), revealed how she auditioned for the ad with Ranveer and Johnny after finding the script 'hilarious'. She also addressed the criticism the ad faced for 'making fun of TV shows'.
Talking to India Today, Bhavna said, "They are marketers and understand the ripple effect of such things. Honestly, the original script was funnier but they altered it accordingly. The intention has always been to make it look like a normal scene from a TV show so that it's viewed casually by everyone at home. They wanted the topic to be normalised."

Bhavna or Rashami's statement
Recently, Rashami Desai expressed her criticism of the ad, stating that she felt it was 'a humiliation to all the TV industry and people who work in television'. She further remarked that it was like 'a slap', emphasising her 'respectful journey in the TV industry'. Reacting to this, Bhavna stated that while she does not disregard Rashami's opinion, she personally did not perceive any disrespect towards the TV industry during the production of the ad. Bhavna clarified, "Koi mazak nahi udaya hai (No one made fun of the TV industry)."
About the Ad
The advertisement parodied an Indian TV drama, featuring Bhavna in the role of Kishu, who expresses concern about her husband's (portrayed by Johnny) sexual health issues. The ad depicted Bhavna's character lamenting to Ranveer's character about his brother's struggles with erectile dysfunction. The script for the ad was written by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, and their team.
