The title of the upcoming show has now been unveiled. The spinoff will be called Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. The series will center around Kevin Sussman’s not-so-lucky character, Stuart Bloom.

The Big Bang Theory Spinoff’s Title

The project is titled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, according to a report from Deadline. Kevin Sussman will reprise his role as Stuart Bloom. He will be joined by Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Stuart’s girlfriend and comic book store assistant. Additionally, Brian Posehn will return as Caltech geologist Bert Kibbler, alongside John Ross Bowie. The show is still awaiting the official green light, and nothing has been formally announced. The Big Bang Theory spinoff is expected to follow in the footsteps of Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, continuing the legacy of the iconic sitcom. The series will also showcase the fan favourite comic book store owner as he navigates life, love and his past, with plenty of misfortune on his way.

The upcoming series is written and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, co-creator of The Big Bang Theory, alongside Zak Penn and fellow co-creator Bill Prady. Lorre has also served as a co-creator and executive producer for all of the show's spinoffs to date. The original show ran for 12 seasons and wrapped up in 2019. Young Sheldon, starring Iain Armitage, became a hit after running for seven seasons before concluding in May 2024. After this news, fans are excited to see what lies ahead for Stuart as his story continues in this much-anticipated series.
