Kim Soo Hyun's career is at risk after allegations surfaced online related to his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron. Sae Ron's family made serious allegations that he dated her when she was a minor, which sparked intense backlash. Amid this dating scandal, the Queen of Tears star has been dropped by major brands and reportedly lost over a million Instagram followers. Despite this, he was set to proceed with a fanmeet event in Taiwan. However, according to the latest reports, this event is now at risk of cancellation.

Kim Soo Hyun Fanmeet in Taiwan

The Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival, which is scheduled for the end of this month, is proceeding as planned. The event organizers are re-evaluating Kim Soo Hyun's participation. If this happens, Soo Hyun could face a hefty penalty of approximately 1.32 billion KRW (USD 911,000). It would be one of Kim’s costliest setbacks to date.

"As of now, the event will proceed as originally planned. If any changes arise, we will respond immediately and handle the situation appropriately while considering consumer rights," a representative from the event was quoted by Taiwanese media outlet ET Today.

The 2025 Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival in Taiwan is set to run from March 28 to 30. On the last day, Kim Soo Hyun is expected to make his appearance and also have a fanmeet event for 40 minutes. However, with the ongoing controversy surrounding him, fans are wondering whether his appearance will proceed as planned and are waiting for further updates on the event.

These developments are the result of allegations surrounding Kim Soo Hyun's past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron during her time as a minor. In addition to this, there are claims involving financial disputes between the two.
