New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Tech giant Google recently released its trending searches for the year 2019 under a number of categories such as sports, movies, personalities, among others. The list has been compiled based on searches that witnessed the highest spike in 2019 as compared to last year. While Abhinandan Varthaman was the most searched personality in India, B-Town celebs Koena Mitra, Sidharth Shukla, Tara Sutaria, Vicky Kaushal and Lata Mangeshkar made it to top 10 in the search list.
Though Actress Sara Ali Khan didn't make it to the top 10 list in India, she bagged 6th position in Pakistan's most searched personality of the year. Adnan Sami and Abhinandan were also on fifth and ninth in the list. Among other celebs, Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh and Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy-- also starring Alia Bhatt-- and Bigg Boss 13-- India's most-watched reality TV show-- were also on the list of most googled titles in movies and TV list.
Directed by Sandeep Vanga, Kabir Singh was one of the highest engrossing movie of 2018 managing to rake nearly Rs 290 crore at the domestic box office. The romantic drama had featured Kiara Advani and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
In India, Sara Ali's 'Aankh Mare' song also featuring Ranveer Singh was at number eight in the list of the most searched song for 2019.
On the work front, Sara will next feature opposite Varun Dhawan in the 1995 superhit remake 'Coolie No. 1'-- starring Govinda and Raveena Tandon-- by David Dhawan set to release next year. The actress will also feature beside his rumoured beau Kartik Aaryan in Imitiaz Ali's next set to release on Valentine's day next year. She had made her debut opposite MS Dhoni: The Untold Story fame Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath two years ago.
