Kritika Malik, who gained attention during her time on Bigg Boss OTT 3 with her husband Armaan Malik and his first wife Payal Malik, was rumoured to be joining Bigg Boss 18. A viral social media video featured Payal Malik confirming that Kritika, also known as Golu, had been offered a spot on the show, and she encouraged fans to spread the word with flyers. Despite this, Payal Malik has now stated that no member of the Malik family will participate in Bigg Boss again. In a recent vlog, she explained that their personal lives became too much of a focus during Bigg Boss OTT 3, leading them to decline future involvement with the show. However, she mentioned that they are open to participating in other reality shows.
In one of her recent vlogs, Payal stated, "Kuch log aise hai jo abhi bhi hume pyaar karte hai aur hume dekhna chahte hai Bigg Boss 18 mein. Par hamare poori family mein se koi bhi, kisi bhi Bigg Boss mein nahi jaana chahta. Wahan pe na jo insaan accha kar raha hota hai usko koi dekhna pasand nahi karta. (Some people still have affection for us and want to see us on Bigg Boss 18. However, none of us in the family wish to participate in the show. The audience tends to focus on the drama surrounding our family—such as Armaan's two marriages—rather than appreciating an individual's performance or game on the show)."
"Aap insaan ko as individual ko nahi dekhte, uske game ko nahi dekhte. Sirf yeh dekhte ho hamare family mein 3 log hai, Armaan ne do shaadi ki hai. Aab humne yahi socha hai koi bhi Bigg Boss mein nahi jaaeinge. Aur koi reality show ka aaega toh zaroor jaainge (They don't view us as individuals or recognise the merit of our game; they only concentrate on sensational aspects. We have now decided not to participate in Bigg Boss. We might consider doing other reality shows)," the YouTuber added.
Following her eviction from Bigg Boss OTT 3, Kritika addressed the media to clarify that neither she, Armaan, nor Payal support polygamy. She explained, "None of us—Armaan, Payal, or I—endorse polygamy. We've been married for seven years, and when we first got married, we were not on social media. Events have unfolded, but with a humble request, we want everyone to understand that we do not support the concept of having two marriages."
