Both movies faced a tepid reception and mixed reviews, leading to lackluster performance and notable financial losses for their respective productions.

Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Pandey’s inaugural collaboration proved to be a significant disappointment. The mature romantic drama failed to capture the audience's interest and performed poorly at the box office. It opened with a mere Rs 1.85 crore, marking the worst opening day for an Ajay Devgn film in over a decade. The situation did not improve over the week, with "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha" ending its first week on a dismal note, earning approximately Rs 0.60 crore net on its seventh day. According to Sacnilk, the film had a low overall Hindi occupancy rate of 7.55% on Thursday, August 8, 2024, with morning shows at 5.43%, afternoon shows at 7.57%, evening shows at 7.51%, and night shows at 9.67%.
The film, also starring Shantanu Maheswari, Saiee Manjrekar, and Jimmy Shergill, traces the tumultuous journey of Krishan and Vasudha from 2000 to 2023.

Despite generating substantial anticipation with its compelling trailer and initial audience interest, the film has underperformed at the box office since its release. On its seventh day, Ulajh managed to earn approximately Rs 0.50 crore net in India. Overall, it has accumulated around Rs 7.25 crore according to Sacnilk. The film's Hindi occupancy on Thursday, August 8, 2024, was notably low at 9.73%, with morning shows at 6.05%, afternoon shows at 9.64%, evening shows at 10.30%, and night shows at 12.92%.
