Actor and Kannada Bigg Boss winner Chandan Shetty, along with his wife Niveditha Gowda, has filed for divorce in the Bengaluru family court. The duo, who met on Bigg Boss Kannada 5, have decided to part ways. The former announced their divorce on her Instagram handle, stating that the decision was made mutually. She emphasised that they still hold care and respect for each other and are on good terms. Niveditha requested privacy from everyone during this time.

Talking to her social media, Niveditha wrote, "This day, We, Chandan Shetty and myself have ended our marriage legally on good terms and mutual understanding. We request support from the media, our friends, and fans who stood by us at all times to respect our decision and our privacy. Even though we are going our separate ways, we still care and respect each other. Your kindness, understanding and encouragement mean a lot to both of us during this period. Thank you all."

For the unversed, Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda's love story began inside the Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 house, where they fell for each other. After getting engaged in 2019, they exchanged vows in 2020. The couple, widely adored by the audience, frequently shared affectionate pictures online. Last year, they went on a vacation to the US, cherishing moments together.

Niveditha gained fame through her appearance on Bigg Boss Kannada 5, while Chandan Shetty is recognised as a versatile music composer, lyricist, and singer. He made his notable debut as a composer in the 2016 film 'Railway Children.' Chandan is set to compose music for the upcoming movie 'Choo Mantar,' starring Sharan and Meghana Gaonkar in lead roles. In addition to his achievements as a Kannada Bigg Boss winner, Chandan Shetty has made notable contributions to the Kannada music scene with various singles. He has also showcased his talent in several Kannada reality shows, further solidifying his presence in the industry.
