'Bigg Boss Telugu' will return to television with its seventh season and the makers have finally made the official announcement. It was rumoured that Nagarjuna Akkineni will not return as the host of 'Bigg Boss Telugu' this season and will be replaced by another actor. The recent reports suggest that Nagarjuna Akkineni has agreed to host 'Bigg Boss Telugu 7' and has locked his schedule.

According to the reports by Pinkvilla, Nandamuri Balakrishna was in talks for 'Bigg Boss Telugu OTT' but things did not work out. "Nagarjuna is on board for the reality show's seventh season and he has already blocked his dates accordingly. The makers are working on the contestants' list and the new concept that will promise an entertaining experience for viewers," a source was quoted as saying by Pinvilla.

The source further added, "The makers were earlier in talks with NBK too, mostly for Bigg Boss Telugu OTT. However, things didn't work out due to NBK's busy shooting schedule."

The promo of 'Bigg Boss Telugu' was released recently/ Sharing the promo, the official Twitter page of Star Maa wrote, "#BiggBossTelugu7 - A Full Package of Entertainment! Get ready to be hooked as BB7 Telugu takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, surprises, and thrilling moments that will leave you wanting more. Coming Soon Only on @StarMaa & @DisneyPlusHSTel."

According to reports, 'Bigg Boss Telugu 7' will air on Star Maa channel in September 2023. The makers are yet to confirm the show's official release date.

Anchor-actress Rashmi Gautam was reportedly approached for 'Bigg Boss Telugu 7' but she denied it. Amardeep Chowdary and Janaki Kalaganaledu are also rumoured to participate in the show.

It was also reported that Maadhavi Latha has been approached to participate in the show but she did not accept the offer. According to FilmiBeat, she said, "I have been approached to participate in the Bigg Boss Telugu show thrice before. This time too, the team asked me to be a contestant. I am not interested in that reality show and will never take part in it. But I thank the team of Bigg Boss for the offer."

In 'Bigg Boss Telugu 6', playback singer LV Revanth lifted the trophy among more than 15 contestants.
