Billa Ranga Baashaa: Kichcha Sudeep revealed an interesting update on his long-queued action-adventure movie Billa Ranga Baashaa following a months-long delay. Fans who are eagerly awaiting an update regarding its theatrical release finally felt a sigh of relief. 

Kichcha Sudeep posted a new poster for his movie on his X (previously Twitter) and announced that the project has officially begun production today, April 16. "2209 AD - #BRBFirstBlood. The journey begins today. To us, this mammoth dream and vision of our team, going on floor is an unparalled excitement," he wrote in the caption. 

Kichcha Sudeep emphasised that the Kannada movie, which is titled BRB-The First Blood, will take place in the year 2209. The statement came months after the release of Max, the actor's last action-thriller.

For the unversed, Max revolves around a fiery police officer  Arjun Mahakshay who was recently suspended and is ready to assume command again. The actioner had a successful theatrical run, making 2024's highest-grossing Kannada movie.

About Billa Ranga Baashaa

Kichcha Sudeep and director Anup Bhandari are collaborating for again after their first one was a box office success. Before Billa Ranga Baashaa, the duo worked together on Venkat Rona. The 2022 movie tells the story of how, nearly half a century ago, a secluded community in the middle of a tropical rainforest began to experience a string of inexplicable occurrences that they began to believe were supernatural.

Even while the plot of Billa Ranga Baashaa is futuristic, it takes place nearly two centuries later in the future. The story would be divided into two parts, and this movie has been in pre-production for a while, as per The New Indian Express  

A key component of this Kannada action adventure movie is the employment of sophisticated visual effects and specially created 3D sets. These unique 3D sets will be created during the 20–25 days of nonstop shooting in each of them, reportedly.
