BLACKPINK Jisoo recently attended the VIP movie premiere of Lee Hyeri's upcoming movie Victory. She was spotted greeting several Korean celebrities at the event and this has gained major attention from fans on social media.  On Monday, August 5, the highly anticipated Korean film Victory held its VIP premiere at the Yongsan CGV I-PARK MALL in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event attracted a star-studded crowd, including prominent figures from the Korean entertainment industry.

Among the celebrities in attendance were BLACKPINK Jisoo, Taxi Driver star Lee Je-hoon and Lovely Runner actor Byeon Woo Seok. The premiere also saw appearances from SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan, (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, ASTRO's Rocky, SF9's Zuho and many more. The presence of these A-list stars highlighted the significance of the event and the support for the film's lead actress, Lee Hye-ri.

Lee Hye-ri, known for her roles in Girl's Day and as an actress in Kdramas like Reply 1988, was visibly moved by the overwhelming support from her friends and colleagues. BLACKPINK Jisoo took to Instagram to share her excitement, posting a story that read, "It was so funnnn!!!!!! You worked hard. Good luck," tagging Hye-ri’s Instagram handle. Much to the happiness and excitement of fans, Jisoo was seated next to the Lovely Runner star Byeon Woo Seok. The two can be seen greeting each other and chatting.

Victory, also known as Biktori, is a sports-based coming-of-age film directed by Park Bum-soo. The movie premiered as the opening film at the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) on July 12 and is set for theatrical release on August 14, 2024. The story is set in 1999 in a small village in Geoje, focusing on two high school best friends who form their school's cheerleading team, Millennium Girls. The plot explores their journey as cheerleaders and their teenage experiences, blending comedy and drama. Director Park Bum-soo shared his inspiration for the film, stating, "I wanted to send a message that I want to cheer for those around me who are close to the time when we need support like now, and I want to cheer for myself."

Victory has garnered significant attention from netizens and fans of Korean cinema, thanks to its intriguing plot and star-studded premiere.
