BLACKPINK's Jisoo is set to make a highly anticipated return to acting, much to the excitement of her fans. Following her impressive performance in the 2021 JTBC series 'Snowdrop' alongside Jung Hae In, Jisoo is now filming her new K-drama 'Influenza' with Park Jung Min. Recently, she was spotted on set, sparking a wave of excitement among her dedicated fans, known as BLINKs.

Influenza, based on Han Sang-woon's novel, is a zombie apocalypse romance fantasy drama that promises to be thrilling and heart-wrenching. The series is expected to be of nine episodes and will wrap up filming by May or June. The plot revolves around two former lovers who reunite while struggling to survive a zombie outbreak. Jisoo plays the role of Young Joo, while Park Jung Min portrays Jae Yoon, a man who enlisted in the military at 26 and is now seeking employment in a defence unit. Their tumultuous relationship is put to the ultimate test as they face hordes of zombies together.

On May 5, a fan-taken video went viral, showing Jisoo filming in Daejeon, South Korea. The footage gave fans a brief glimpse into the making of 'Influenza', with Jisoo seen interacting with staff members on set. Despite her busy schedule, which includes numerous fashion and beauty campaigns, Jisoo continues to keep her fans updated on her activities. She recently assured her fans via her Bubble account that she is in good health and taking care of herself, addressing concerns about her well-being.

The anticipation for 'Influenza' has been building since reports first surfaced on August 31, 2023. Set in an air-defence unit's building in Seoul, the drama promises to deliver a gripping story of a terrifying zombie outbreak. Park Jung Min, known for his roles in 'Hellbound' and 'Entourage', is expected to bring depth to the character of Jae Yoon, while Jisoo's portrayal of Young Joo is eagerly awaited by fans who loved her performance in Snowdrop.

Jisoo made her acting debut in 2015 with a cameo role in 'The Producers', starring Kim Soo Hyun and IU. She later gained widespread acclaim for her lead role in 'Snowdrop', where her chemistry with Jung Hae In and her performance in the historical romance drama left a lasting impression on viewers.
