On the work front, Jisoo has officially been cast in the movie 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint', which is based on the popular webtoon of the same name and has kickstarted shooting for the movie. The movie also stars Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop in the lead roles.
Talking about 'Omniscient Reader', the webtoon revolves around Dokja, who is an average office worker and shows a great interest in reading the web novel 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.' His life turns upside down when the novel's story becomes a reality and he is the only person who is aware of how the world will end. Dokja uses his knowledge to change the story and survive.
Jisoo was earlier in the news after BLACKPINK renewed its contract with YG Entertainment. The agency's statement reads, "We are pleased to announce that our board of directors has successfully come to an agreement on the signing of exclusive group contracts for all four members of BLACKPINK, our talented artists."
“BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine more brightly in the world music market as an artist representing K-POP, and we will continue to give their unwavering support and faith in their actions,” the statement added.
She has reportedly been approached to star in another show opposite 'Start-Up' actor Park Jung-Min. She will be seen in the show 'Influenza', which is based on a novel written by author Han Sang-woon.
