Kpop VMAs 2024 Nominations: The popularity of Korean pop culture has skyrocketed over the years with several kpop songs getting international recognition. This year, MTV Video Music Awards 2024 has given nods to several kpop songs that ruled the music charts. BTS member Jungkook's song 'Seven' with American rapper Latto and BLACKPINK's Lisa's latest single 'Rockstar' have been nominated as well.

Jungkook's 'Seven' received nominations in Best Collaboration and Best Kpop categories. Lisa's song 'Rockstar' receives four nominations in Best Kpop, Best Editing, Best Choreography and Best Art Direction categories. Stray Kids and Tomorrow X Together were nominated for Best Kpop.

On the wrk front, Jungkook earlier released his solo album 'Golden', which has several songs including 'Closer To You', 'Standing Next To You', 'Yes or No', 'Please Don't Change', 'Somebody', 'Shot Glass of Tears', 'Hate You' and 'Too Sad to Dance'.

He will soon release his documentary film 'I Am Still', which is expected to release in theatres on September 18, 2024.

The official description reads, "The release is a celebration of Jungkook, widely acknowledged as the most popular member of BTS, as he develops as a solo artist in the run up to his first solo album, GOLDEN. The film follows the 150-day journey in the lead up to the album's release, highlighting his trailblazing path. the film features live performances from Seoul and his celebrated times square live showcase, alongside new interviews, and behind-the-scenes recordings."

Lisa will make her acting debut in the series 'The White Lotus Season 3', which is set in Thailand.

The ownership of Lisa's upcoming solo songs has been given to RCA Records. Talking about her collaboration with RCA Records, Lisa said, "I’m super excited to be joining the RCA family and I am confident they are the best team to create a bigger movement in my solo career. Lisa's 'Rockstar' debuted at the number one position on Billboard Global Excluding the United States and was followed by Sabrina Carptener's 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please', Billie Eilish's 'Birds Of Feather' and FloyyMenor X CrisMJ's 'Gata Only'.
