BLACKPINK's Lisa is set to co-headline the 2024 Global Citizen Festival. The announcement came on July 9, revealing that Lisa will join an exciting lineup that includes Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and Rauw Alejandro.

The festival will be hosted by actor Hugh Jackman and will take place on September 28 at the Central Park Great Lawn in New York. Organized by Global Citizen, the world’s leading international advocacy organization, the festival aims to end extreme poverty and address urgent global challenges.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Katie Hill, Global Citizen’s SVP and head of music, entertainment and artist relations, expressed her excitement about Lisa’s participation: “Lisa is not only an incredible performer but also a powerful advocate, leveraging her voice and platform to drive action on some of the most urgent challenges our world is facing. We look forward to welcoming Lisa, and of course Lilies and Blinks, to Central Park in September.”

This performance marks Lisa’s first solo festival appearance. As a member of BLACKPINK, she and her fellow group members—Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé—made history by headlining the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first Kpop act to do so.

Lisa recently released her solo single Rockstar at the end of June. This single is part of her solo partnership with RCA Records. In December 2023, it was announced that BLACKPINK had renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment. However, all four members later decided to part ways with the label for their solo ventures.

In February, Lisa launched her own company, LLOUD, which she described in an Instagram post as a “platform to showcase my vision in music and entertainment.” This partnership with RCA Records allows Lisa to release new solo music while maintaining full ownership of all her recordings.
