Rose, a member of the popular Korean girl group BLACKPINK, is celebrating a significant milestone in her solo career. In the early days of June 2024, Rose achieved over 100 million streams on Spotify for her songs 'Gone' and 'On The Ground'. These tracks released approximately three years ago, continue to be fan favorites and have solidified Rose's position as a successful solo artist.

Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Rose's journey to stardom began when she was discovered by YG Entertainment in 2012. After four years of rigorous training, she debuted with BLACKPINK in August 2016.

The group quickly rose to international fame, and Rose embarked on her solo career in March 2021 with her debut single album titled R. The album, which sold nearly 450,000 copies in its first week, set a record for a female K-pop soloist at that time.

Rose's lead single from the album, 'On The Ground', became a massive hit, topping charts and breaking records, including the most-viewed music video in 24 hours by a solo Kpop artist. The album's second track, 'Gone', also performed exceptionally well, reaching the top ten in South Korea.

Aside from her musical achievements, Rose is also known for her impeccable fashion sense. She serves as a global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent and made history in 2021 as the first female Korean idol to attend the Met Gala. Her popularity extends to social media, where she has a massive following.

BLACKPINK, the group to which Rose belongs, has been a global sensation since its debut in 2016. Their debut single album Square One featured hits like Whistle and Boombayah. Subsequent releases continued to break records, with songs like Ddu-Du Ddu-Du becoming the first Korean female group to enter the UK Singles Chart and receive RIAA certification.

Their albums The Album (2020) and Born Pink (2022) shattered sales records in South Korea, with Born Pink becoming the first girl group album to top both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart.

Comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, BLACKPINK is often hailed as the biggest girl group in the world. Their success, along with Rose's solo achievements, highlights the immense popularity and influence of Kpop on the global music scene.
