Blockbuster Hindi Horror Movies: The most anticipated movie Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead released on 15th August. The Horror film has been receiving all the praise from audiences and critics as soon as it hit the silver screen. It has been one of the most awaited movies since the release of its prequel. As per reports, the movie is expected to break all the records. Film Trade Analyst Sumit Kadel on Sunday shared a tweet which stated that 45000 tickets of the movie have been sold at national chains for Day 1. Stree 2 is expected to earn Rs 30-35 crore on the first day of its release.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer was one of the most talked about films on social media. Amar Kaushik’s directorial showcase that the people of Chanderi live in constant fear of ‘Stree’ who attacks men at night, especially during festivals. A boy named Vicky along with his friends unveiled the mystery. As per a report by Sacnilk, the 2018 movie was made on a budget of Rs 30 Crore. The film’s India net collection stands at Rs 129.83 Crore after 8 weeks of its release. Stree’s worldwide collection is Rs 182 Crore.

Munjya
Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma starrer was critically acclaimed and has been also appreciated by the audience. Aditya Sarpotdar’s directorial revolves around a young man who visits his native village and unveils a family secret. He came to know about the ghost named Munjya who wants to get married. The movie shows how the young man protects himself and his love from Munjya. As per a report by Sacnilk, the 2024 movie earned Rs 101.6 Crore after 6 weeks of collection. The worldwide collection of the movie stands at Rs 125 Crore. As per reports, Disney Plus Hotstar has acquired the rights of the movie but the exact date has not been announced yet.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Netflix)
Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan starrer had a massive success at the box office. Anees Bazmee’s directorial delves into the life of a young man who fell in love with a girl after they met an accident. After a series of incidents, they become close to each other and the male protagonist accompanies the girl to her lavish residence where he finds paranormal activities. As per a report by Sacnilk, the 2022 movie was made on a budget of Rs 80 Crore and earned a whopping amount of Rs 184.32 Crore at the all-time box office collection in India. The worldwide collection of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 stands at Rs 265.5 Crore.

Shaitaan (Netflix)
Ajay Devgn and Jyothika starrer made a huge mark at the ticket windows. Vikas Bahl’s directorial shows a family outing turns out to be a nightmare after the teenage daughter has been under the influence of supernatural power. As per a report by Sacnilk, the 2024 movie earned Rs 147.97 Crore at Indian Box office after 66 days of its release. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 60 Crore and had a worldwide collection of Rs 213.55 Crore.

Bhediya (JioCinema)
Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer emerged as one of the most popular movies of the year. Amar Kaushik’s directorial showcases the story of Bhaskar who went to the interior of Arunachal Pradesh for work with his cousin. However, after a series of misfortunate events Bhaskar has been attacked by a wolf. After that incident, he turned into a werewolf. As per a report by Sacnilk, the 2022 movie was made on a budget of Rs 60 crore and it earned Rs 68.99 Crore at the Indian Box office after 7 weeks of collection. The worldwide collection of Bhediya stands at Rs 94.91 Crore.
