The announcement of Sarzameen has created waves for several reasons The film featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in lead roles has already impressed fans with their screen presence. A story of an army officer's battle against terrorists in Kashmir. But do you know, who is behind the direction of the movie? Boman Irani’s son and actor Kayoze Irani, has made his directorial debut with this venture. After watching the film's teaser, proud father Boman gave a special shout-out to his son on social media. He revealed how thrilling it is to hear your child say, “Action.”

Sharing Sarzameen's first glimpse and BTS shot of Kayoze Irani as director, Boman wrote on his Instagram handle, that read, "There’s a unique thrill in hearing your child say “Action.”On July 25, #SarZameen arrives on @jiohotstar my son @kayozeirani first film as director and my greatest joy as a parent…"

Soon after industry friends and fans chimed in the comments section extend warm wishes to Kayoze for Sarzameen. Farah Khan Kunder wrote, "Congratulations bomziii.." One user posted, "The child witnessing the hard work of the parent and also feeling the excitement that they have a miraculous power like a superhero making something happen by saying ‘ Action’ - Priceless .. For the parent , the best role modeling ever."

Sarzameen marks a significant career milestone for Kayoze Irani, as he makes a notable transition from being an actor to a director with his feature film debut. Looking at this transition, made Boman emotional and proud.: The thriller stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the role of a soldier along with Kajol playing his wife. Interestingly, after playing a romantic role in his debut film Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim Ali Khan portrays a negative role in the movie. Besides the intense face-off between Prithviraj and Ibrahim, the compelling chemistry between the L2 Empuraan actor and Kajol wowed the audience after the teaser was unveiled.

Instead of a theatrical release, the makers of Sarzameen have decided to take the direct-to-streaming route. It will be available for streaming on JioHotstar from July 25.
