Bramayugam Box Office Collection Day 1: Released in theaters on February 15, the Mammootty-starrer achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. According to the industry tracking site Sacnilk, the spine-chilling horror thriller raked in Rs 3 crore on its opening day. Notably, the film was exclusively released in Malayalam. The Rahul Sadasivan directorial achieved an overall occupancy rate of 46.52 per cent on its opening day, with the night shows making a significant contribution.

In Kochi, it secured 128 screenings with a 69 per cent occupancy rate, while in Bengaluru, it had 158 screenings but with a lower occupancy rate of 27.25 per cent. 'Bramayugam' has garnered positive reviews since its release, indicating a potential increase in box office earnings over the weekend. The film's box office performance is anticipated to escalate over the weekend, given Mammootty's stature as one of the leading actors in the Malayalam film industry and his extensive fan base in Kerala.

Mammootty's previous film, 'Kaathal - The Core,' earned Rs 1.05 crore on its opening day and amassed a total of Rs 10.87 crore. Conversely, 'Kannur Squad' (2023) commenced with an opening of Rs 2.2 crore.

Released on February 15, 2024, 'Bramayugam' featuring Mammootty in the antagonist role, with a commitment of 30 days to the film's production. Arjun Ashokan portrays the protagonist, dedicating 60 days to the project. Other cast members unveiled during the film's unveiling event include Sidharth Bharathan and Amalda Liz. The film depicts the tale of Thevan, a folk singer hailing from the Paanan caste. His life undergoes a dramatic transformation when he encounters a crucial moment while escaping enslavement, revealing an ancient tradition that alters his fate.

During the trailer launch of the film in Abu Dhabi, Mammootty urged fans to watch the film with an open mind. "While the trailer may have sparked various ideas, I urge you not to jump to conclusions about the story. I am saying this so that you are not disappointed [that the original narrative is different from your assumptions]. Watch the film without preconceived notions and refrain from anticipating the emotions it is going to elicit in you, as it can affect your viewing experience when the predictions come true."
