JE Entertainment Desk: BTS's V aka Kim Taehyung was spotted at the airport on Friday leaving for Celine's menswear show to be conducted in Paris. However, the show was canceled on July 2 due to the riots in motion in the city.

V departed from Seoul, South Korea on June 30 and arrived in Paris to attend Celine's 'Homme Summer 24 Show.' Fans were not aware of his schedule until the rapper posted about the show on his Instagram story.

Since then, some of his fans expressed their concern over his presence in the city, at this moment, given that several French cities have been experiencing intense riots for days which led to several injuries, the destruction of public properties, and even the killing of some.

Paris was the epicenter of the chaos as on June 27, a 17-year-old Algerian-Moroccan boy, was shot by a police officer during a traffic stop in the suburb of Paris. The death of the teenager was caught on camera and fueled the existing public sentiment against police violence and racism in the nation.

The police officer who shot the boy is now undergoing a formal investigation for voluntary homicide and has already been placed in preliminary detention. People in France are protesting against the racism system in the country and the unequal laws imposed by the agencies.

For five days in a row, people are witnessing violent protests in which people have torched over 2,000 vehicles and ransacked shops with over 100 people being arrested by the police. Looking at the situation, the creative director of Celine took to his Instagram and announced the cancellation of the show. He quoted that the show would be 'inconsiderate and misplaced.'

Taking to his Instagram, Hedi Slimane wrote, "Having to abruptly cancel a show that represents a considerable amount of work for the fashion house, my teams, and the workshops is a great disappointment. It's also a disappointment for all our guests, journalists, artists, and musicians, to whom I extend my warmest and most affectionate thanks. Their safety is naturally a priority for us, and the uncertain evolution of these extremely serious disorders requires us all to exercise the utmost discernment."

He also added, "From my point of view alone, a fashion show in Paris at a time when France and its capital are bereaved and bruised seems inconsiderate and totally out of place."

Fans are also pleased with the team's decision and now the BTS fans are hoping for V's safe return to South Korea along with all the other guests present at the show.
