BTS Jhope recently took fans on a trip down memory lane by reminiscing about one of the group's most iconic inside jokes—the legendary ‘Lachimolala’ moment. The rapper-dancer recalled Jimin’s hilarious mispronunciation from Run BTS Episode 41 during his recent comeback live broadcast, Sweet Dreams with J-Hope, much to the delight of ARMYs worldwide.
During the live session, J-Hope, affectionately known as Hobi, was casually discussing food when he mentioned ‘carbonara’—the very word that sparked the infamous BTS joke. Instantly, he connected the moment to Jimin’s legendary blunder and said, "Wait, isn’t that Jimin? When I heard carbonara, I suddenly remembered that. There was that time that Jimin did that thing that was so funny. I suddenly want to watch it. It was Run BTS." True to his words, J-Hope played the Run BTS episode where the incident happened, doubling down on the nostalgia.

For the unversed, the Lachimolala joke originates from a game segment in Run BTS Episode 41, aired in 2018. The members were engaged in the Whisper Challenge, where one person had to mouth a word while another guessed it based on lip-reading. When J-Hope whispered ‘carbonara’ to Jimin, he completely misread it and blurted out “Lachimolala.” The moment instantly became a viral sensation, forever embedding itself in BTS fandom culture. While the phrase has no actual meaning, ARMYs have lovingly associated it with Jimin’s playful and endearing personality. The clip remains one of the most cherished Run BTS moments to date.
