BTS Jimin recently wrote a heartfelt letter to the band's devoted fanbase, known as ARMYs. Since posting the letter on Weverse, it has become a trending topic on social media for two reasons. Firstly, this is Jimin's first update since enlisting in the military and it has thus, stirred up a range of emotions among ARMYs. Secondly, the fact that the letter was handwritten has also caught people's attention. 

Jimin penned a letter addressed to ARMYs in Korean. A translation of the letter posted on a fan page on Instagram says, “To ARMY, ARMYs have you been doing well healthily? Tomorrow is the day I will complete my training (have my graduation ceremony). About a little over a month has passed sometimes it feels long but because jungkook is beside me, I feel like it goes by fast too. It hasn't been a long time but I already miss you all seriously so much.

I've been saying hello while using the public phone to call the members. Jungkookie is also working hard in his military life. He's doing extremely well with his military life that everyone else is like "As expected, Jungkookie hyung." While being beside him, I feel like I can depend on him a lot (saying he feels supported) and he has been giving me strength.

I will be going to (my assigned) military base but I will adjust well and try to be well. Our ARMYs, be careful to not catch a cold. Don't be sick and eat your meals well and only think of good thoughts. Hehe. Anyway once I go to the base, I will write a letter too. I love you.

It's a piece of good news for fans of BTS as members Jimin and Jungkook have enlisted in the military together. They are currently undergoing basic training and will soon start their duties. They will be staying together in shared accommodations at the military base camp. BTS member Jungkook also took to Weverse and shared a word that sent emotions of joy and happiness among the fans. ‘JIMIN and JUNGKOOK’ trended on 'X' as the Kpop group’s members shared updates with their fans. Recently, members RM and V had their graduation ceremony and received awards for their exceptional performance as military trainees.

Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to begin their mandatory military service on January 18th. According to a report by Ten Asia on January 16th, the two will join the 5th Infantry Division located in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi. It is interesting to note that Jin, another member of BTS, is already serving in the same division in the capacity of an assistant instructor at the recruit training centre.

Members Jin and Jhope are all set to return from the military this year. All seven members will reunite in 2025.
