BTS Jin has recently returned to the public eye after completing his military service. In his second post-discharge interview, this time with W Korea, Jin reflected on his friendships, offering a candid take on what he values and what can end a relationship for him. When asked about his friendships, Jin shared that he treasures the close relationships he has with both his BTS members and his non-celebrity friends. Despite the potential desire for a larger circle, Jin is content with his current relationships.
“I believe I already have enough close friends. I have our BTS members as well as those I meet regularly. While I do occasionally meet other friends, it’s challenging to meet them often as they live far away and have busy lives. I also don’t actively seek to make more friends because I want to ensure I give enough attention to my current friends. I click well with them, and I am happy with my relationships with them,” Jin explained.
The conversation took a turn towards what Jin considers deal-breakers in relationships. When asked about moments when he feels someone has "crossed the line," Jin was clear and firm in his response. He shared that hurtful and disrespectful remarks are his red lines.
“When someone says something hurtful and brings up things. There are people who use expressions that degrade others in the middle of conversations. I may hold back once or twice, but it’s really difficult for me to deal with such individuals. I choose not to continue relationships with those kinds of people,” Jin stated.

Earlier in the interview, Jin also touched on his approach to anger and conflicts. He mentioned that while he does get angry occasionally, he believes it’s important to let go of anger quickly and move on. “Of course, I get angry from time to time. However, I believe there’s no point in holding onto anger. Life has its ups and downs, so it makes sense to move on from the downs as quickly as possible,” Jin reflected.
