BTS Jin and Red Velvet’s Wendy are set to collaborate for the first time on Jin’s debut solo album Happy, which is scheduled for release on November 15, 2024. Both agencies, BIGHIT MUSIC and SM Entertainment confirmed Wendy’s feature on one of the album’s songs, sparking excitement among fans.

Dispatch first reported the news on October 16, and shortly after, BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced, "Wendy participated in a feature for a song on Jin’s solo album Happy." This unexpected collaboration between two powerhouse vocalists has fans eagerly waiting to hear their synergy.

Jin, known for his soft tenor voice and versatility, has already won fans with solo hits like The Astronaut and Super Tuna. Wendy, the main vocalist of Red Velvet, is celebrated for her strong soprano voice and soulful falsetto, which perfectly complements Jin’s vocal style. Their combined vocal talents promise to create a unique and captivating musical experience.

In addition to this exciting collaboration, Jin is all set to kick off his solo album promotions with the release of the first single from Happy on October 25. The track will come with a music video, according to the promotional schedule posted by BIGHIT MUSIC on X (formerly Twitter). Fans can look forward to concept photos, posters and visual clips starting October 16. The full tracklist will also be revealed soon, adding to the growing anticipation for the album.

Happy will feature six tracks, each with its unique vibe grounded in band sounds. According to BIGHIT MUSIC’s statement on Weverse, “Happy is Jin's heartfelt invitation for fans to join him on his journey to discover happiness.” This album is expected to offer comfort and strength to ARMYs, reflecting Jin’s thoughts on happiness.

Following his military discharge on June 12, 2024, Jin has been active with several high-profile events, including his participation in BTS' 11th-anniversary celebration, his variety show Run Jin, and his role as a torchbearer for South Korea at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Jin also made waves at Milan Fashion Week as a Gucci brand ambassador.
