BTS Jin has reached another remarkable milestone as his fun and catchy track, Super Tuna, surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. The special performance video, which was released in December 2021 to celebrate Jin's birthday, hit this significant view count on September 2, 2024, proving once again the global popularity of the beloved BTS star.
Super Tuna was originally created as a light-hearted gift for ARMYs, reflecting Jin's love for fishing. The song, with its infectious melody and humorous lyrics, quickly became a sensation, much to Jin's surprise. In a past Weverse live, Jin admitted that he was a bit embarrassed by the song's unexpected success, revealing that he had released it hastily and did not anticipate it would receive so much attention. Despite his initial reservations, the track has captured the hearts of fans worldwide.
The performance video, filmed on a beach in Los Angeles, showcases Jin's playful personality. Dressed in a t-shirt featuring a self-drawn tuna and denim overalls, Jin performs a whimsical dance routine that mimics the movements of a fish. The easy-to-follow choreography quickly inspired a global Super Tuna dance challenge, with fans from all over the world participating and sharing their versions on social media platforms.

Super Tuna was officially released on October 21, 2022, after its initial debut as a fun birthday surprise in December 2021. The song's popularity led to its domination on various music charts, including Billboard's World Digital Song Sales and Digital Song Sales categories. It also held a spot on the Hot Trending Songs chart for an impressive 45 consecutive weeks. Following BTS 2024 FESTA event, where Jin performed Super Tuna live for the first time, the track reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
Beyond his music, Jin continues to charm fans with his appearances on popular variety shows. His self-produced show, Run Jin, airs every Tuesday, highlighting his unique sense of humour and relatable personality. Additionally, Jin's enthusiastic participation in MBC’s Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island earned the show the highest viewership in its time slot. Fans can also look forward to his upcoming appearance on Netflix’s variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B, where Jin is expected to bring both laughter and heartfelt moments.
