In a fascinating trend that has been sweeping across the United States, look-alike contests featuring popular celebrities have been gaining immense traction. The phenomenon began last month with a highly successful Timothée Chalamet look-alike contest, which drew widespread attention. Similar competitions have since been organised, showcasing a diverse range of celebrities, including members of the British boy band One Direction, such as Zayn Malik and Harry Styles, as well as acclaimed actors Dev Patel and Jeremy Allen White. Now, in a new development, the spotlight has shifted to Kpop stars, with look-alike contests featuring these talented artists beginning to emerge and captivate audiences across the country.

BTS Jungkook's Look-alike Contest

A contest was held on November 24th at Ping Tom Park in Chicago to find the best look-alike of BTS' charismatic member, Jungkook. The event, which was widely reported by local media, drew a sizable crowd of enthusiastic participants, all vying for the top prize. The winner, Andrew Alexander, a popular YouTuber with a substantial following of around 260,000 subscribers, took home a bottle of soju and a cash prize of $20.

The contest saw many fans showcasing their impressive fashion sense, with numerous participants donning baggy outfits, sporting tattoos, and flaunting piercings in a bid to emulate Jungkook's distinctive style. Andrew Alexander, however, stood out from the crowd with his remarkably accurate portrayal of the Kpop idol. He wore a white oversized t-shirt, paired with a black puffer jacket and gray acid-wash jeans, perfectly capturing Jungkook's edgy and trendy aesthetic. To complete the look, Andrew also sported tattoos and piercings similar to those of his idol, leaving no doubt as to his dedication to the role.

Interestingly, Andrew Alexander is no stranger to the BTS fandom, having previously garnered attention from the ARMY four years ago with a YouTube video in which he underwent a dramatic transformation to become Jungkook.
