BTS label BigHit's former office building has been bought by actor Kim Woo-bin, leaving fans with mixed emotions. The South Korean actor has made a significant real estate investment by purchasing the historic office building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. This building was previously used by Big Hit Music and fans still have many memories attached to it. BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan spent their early days in that office, rehearsing for their songs and music videos.

Our Blues actor Kim Woo-bin acquired the property for 13.7 billion won (approximately $12 million) in March. The transaction was finalized on June 11th, completing the ownership transfer. The building features two basement floors and five ground floors, with a land area of 315.5 square meters and a total floor area of 1,316.84 square meters.

This building holds a special place in BTS' history. From 2007 to 2011, Big Hit Music used this space as their office, where the BTS members spent countless hours practising and preparing for their debut. It's a site where the group honed their skills and laid the foundation for their future success.

In 2018, Big Hit Music moved their office to Samsung-dong and later to Yongsan in 2020, rebranding themselves as HYBE. The Nonhyeon-dong building, however, remains a landmark for ARMYs, BTS's dedicated fanbase.

Kim Woo-bin's purchase of this iconic property is noteworthy not only for its historical significance but also for the financial details involved. At the time of purchase, Shinhan Bank set a maximum bond of 7.44 billion won as collateral, indicating that Kim Woo-bin likely secured a loan of 6.2 billion won. The remaining 7.5 billion won was paid in cash.

Apart from this new acquisition, Kim Woo-bin also owns a detached house in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

Kim Woo-bin, who was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017, has made a strong comeback after a six-year hiatus. He returned to the screen with the movie Alien + People and is now set to star in the new Netflix series Everything Will Come True by acclaimed writer Kim Eun-sook. Kim Woo-bin has been in a public relationship with fellow actor Shin Min-ah for the past decade. BTS Jin was discharged from the military on June 12, 2024, while other members currently fulfill their mandatory military service.
