BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star Main Trailer was released on November 29 on the Kpop Band’s Official YouTube channel ‘BANGTANTV’. The video which is a minute and a few seconds long opens with the band’s leader and rapper RM initiating the group of seven for their traditional group chant ‘Bangtan, Bangtan, Bangbangtan’ before going on stage and stressing that they will start sharp at 8!

The trailer proceeds with a few stills from their initial days where the bandmates (RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) reveal that “We worked our tails off, life was difficult” and an amused Suga recounting what it felt like to be a part of the South Korean supergroup in the initial days. He says, “I was going to run away, for real. I’m serious”.

The clip then transitions to the many wins that BTS achieved while their international chart-topper ‘Butter’ plays in the background. It further unveils the disappointment the band went through when the pandemic hit the globe and their concert had to be called off.

“For the first time, time stood still and we felt lost as the days went by”.

We are shown the band’s struggles through the pandemic and the similar feelings that everyone around the globe experienced at the time. Jin is shown saying, “I just spend my time like this and don’t meet anyone”.

However, it was during the pandemic that the supergroup released its first song ‘Dynamite’ which was entirely recorded in English. Butter followed and both of these were record-breaking songs that introduced the band to a wider audience globally.

Their activities to cheer up their fans continued until they made a comeback with ‘Permission to Dance (PTD)’ which brought them into the spotlight and reaffirmed their stance as global pop icons as they sang, “We don't need to worry, 'Cause when we fall, we know how to land”.
