Big news in the music world! BTS's Jungkook, who has been in the limelight lately for his chart-topping solo debut album GOLDEN, is teaming up with American singer-songwriter Usher. BIGHIT MUSIC announced the release of Jungkook's 'Standing Next to You – Usher Remix,' set to drop on December 1 at 2 p.m. KST. The remix is slated for release in December, promising to infuse Usher's vocals to enhance the original version's energetic feel with a velvety touch, highlighting the synergy between the two artists.

This collaboration follows BTS's previous nod to Usher in their hit song 'Butter,' with the lyrics mentioning the artist. Usher reciprocated the love by sharing a video of himself dancing to the chart-topping track when it was first released.

On November 29, at midnight KST, Jungkook revealed the upcoming release of a remix for his solo track 'Standing Next To You,' featuring Usher. This remix promises to add a smooth touch to the original track. The news was shared via BIGHIT, Jungkook's music production house.

Following the announcement, fans swiftly took to social media to express their excitement about the collaboration. One user emphasised the significance of Jungkook collaborating with Usher, highlighting the challenge non-western artists face in the US music industry. "We will be streaming! Also yall don’t realize how hard it is to make it in the US as a non-western artist. Also, if it was really chart obsession, hs would’ve chose someone other than Usher. He chose Usher because he is an R&B influence!," a user said. Another added, "As the voice of kpop I speak for everyone when I say that we are all highly anticipating this remix and that it is guaranteed to be absolutely incredible with phenomenal production and amazing vocals."

Meanwhile, Jungkook's solo debut album, GOLDEN, made waves, shattering significant records on Spotify within its first month after release. Ahead of the album's launch in October, the K-pop star teased fans with the announcement of two remix versions of his tracks, setting the stage for heightened anticipation.
