BTS Suga is globally known for his rapping and songwriting skills and now it seems he'll soon make his movie debut. Anderson .Paak is all set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming family comedy film K-Pops! and the Kpop community is buzzing with excitement. The film, which focuses on the world of Kpop, will feature appearances from several of South Korea's most popular artists, including SEVENTEEN's Vernon, BTS Suga and more.
In a statement at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Anderson .Paak shared his enthusiasm about working with these iconic Kpop stars, saying, "I had the opportunity to work with artists I’ve long admired, like Suga from BTS, Vernon from SEVENTEEN, Crush, The Rose, Jessi, and G-Dragon." He expressed how thrilling it was to collaborate with these talents in his directorial debut, bringing their influence to the world of K-Pops!.
SEVENTEEN's Vernon is expected to make a cameo appearance in K-Pops! alongside BTS Suga, further enhancing the film's appeal to global Kpop fans. This exciting collaboration comes as no surprise, as both artists have gained immense popularity in South Korea and internationally.

In addition to featuring top Kpop acts, Anderson .Paak has teamed up with renowned producer DemJointz to create original music for the film. Known for producing hit tracks for artists like BTS, NCT and EXO, DemJointz's involvement adds another layer of excitement for music enthusiasts. His collaboration with Anderson .Paak promises a unique blend of styles, perfectly suited to a film centred around the Kpop phenomenon.

K-Pops! is set to follow the story of a musician from Los Angeles who moves to South Korea in hopes of reviving his career. However, he soon discovers that his long-lost son is on the verge of becoming a Kpop star. As the father initially tries to use his son's fame for a second shot at success, the two ultimately grow closer, leading to a heartwarming and comedic family dynamic. Aside from Anderson .Paak himself, the film stars Jee Young-han, Soul Rasheed, Yvette Nicole Brown, Dumbfoundead, Cathy Shim Will Jay and SEVENTEEN's Vernon.
