BTS V has been trending since his military enlistment announcement was made. He and BTS Leader RM started their mandatory military service on December 11 following which their devoted fanbase ‘ARMYs’ turned emotional and poured the internet with heartfelt messages. A piece of exciting news amidst all of the emotions seems to be arising as American singer-songwriter Umi Wilson has sent V a heartfelt message that indicates their music collaboration. 

Umi took to her Instagram story and wrote, “Bye, Tae. I am wishing you the best in the army.” She further wrote, “I promise to take care of our song and share your message while you are away.” Her heartfelt message confirms a collaboration song that might be out soon. Fans eagerly wait for an official announcement related to the collaboration as they will now only get to experience the Kpop idol’s music before his return in 2025.

V took to Weverse and posted an emotional letter for ARMYs. He wrote, “I think I'm going to miss you so much. To be honest, it's a real shame that I can't have any more happy memories with ARMYs for some time, if it wasn't for that one thing it would be okay, but not being able to see ARMYs is the hardest. For a long time that is 18 months, I will become really healthy and come back so ARMYs, please take care of your health too. and if day by day you find things to be happy about, I'll appear once again like 'tada! I'm here!'. and also I have prepared various things for during those 18 months so please look forward to it.”

His letter states that he prepared a lot of things for the ARMYs for 18 months and a collaboration with Umi is one of them. V will also be seen in a music video with IU from her comeback album. 

BTS member Jin shared his pictures with V and RM as they enlisted in the army on December 11 in an Instagram post.
