BTS V delighted ARMYs with a special birthday message, albeit a little late. The Kpop star, who turned 29 on December 30, 2024, shared a video on January 6, 2025, belatedly commemorating his special day. Despite the delay, fans were thrilled to receive this thoughtful gesture from the singer.

On January 6, BTS’ official X (formerly Twitter) account released a short clip of V. Dressed casually, the idol greeted fans with a playful tone, saying, “Hello, today is 30th December 2024, my birthday. Hahaha!” Adding to the charm, V spoke with an 'old-man accent,' showcasing his signature humour. The video, though delayed, brought joy to ARMYs worldwide, who praised his lightheartedness and warm connection with fans.

Serving in the Special Duty Team (SDT) in Chuncheon City since December 2023, V currently fulfils his mandatory military service.

Even without an immediate response from V, ARMYs celebrated his birthday with grandeur. Fans organized a heartfelt project near his military unit, decorating streets with over 70 banners wishing him a happy birthday. The thoughtful gesture was aimed at ensuring V would see the decorations during his daily routine.

In another sweet moment, a fan recently spotted V at a cafe, sparking speculation that he might have been treating his fellow soldiers to coffee and snacks as part of his birthday celebration.

Before enlisting, V had an incredible year in 2024, releasing three hit singles and achieving numerous milestones. His March comeback, FRI(END)S, marked his first release since Layover. The digital single, accompanied by a stunning music video, received global acclaim.

In November, V collaborated with ballad singer Park Hyo Shin on Winter Ahead, a track celebrated for its harmonious blend of their voices. He followed it up with White Christmas, a modern rendition of Bing Crosby’s classic, featuring a virtual duet with the late jazz legend. V is set to complete his military service in June 2025.
