BTS V, who is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, was recently spotted picking up beverages with a fellow soldier. Fans couldn’t help but gush over how handsome he looked in his military uniform, even though he tried to cover his face. A fan-taken video, shared on January 3 via X (formerly Twitter), quickly went viral, showing V in a casual yet charming moment at a cafe.
His fans also noticed how much his hair has grown since his enlistment. V, who celebrated his 29th birthday on December 30, seems to be spending time with his fellow soldiers, and fans suspect this coffee outing might have been part of his birthday celebrations.

V enlisted for his mandatory military service in December 2023, alongside BTS RM. He has already completed 13 months of his 18-month service and is currently stationed at the SDT (Special Duty Team) barracks in Chuncheon City. For his birthday, ARMYs organized a special project, decorating nearby streets with over 70 banners featuring heartfelt messages for the BTS member.
On the music front, V has had a busy year. He released three successful songs in 2024, starting with his digital single FRI(END)S in March. The song’s cinematic music video garnered attention and it broke several streaming records. In November, he released Winter Ahead, a ballad featuring renowned singer Park Hyo Shin, followed by a touching rendition of Bing Crosby’s White Christmas, which earned praise from both fans and Crosby’s family for his soulful performance.
