The popularity of South Korean music and entertainment industry has taken the world by storm and it is not going to slow down anytime soon. With Korean movies and shows like 'Parasite' and 'Squid Game' winning international acclaims and Kpop groups and singers like BTS and BLACKPINK ruling the international music charts, K-wave is here to stay. The leading music magazine Rolling Stone recently released their list of 100 Best Songs of 2023 and several Kpop songs and groups dominated the list.
BTS members V aka Kim Taehyung and Jungkook, BLACKPINK member Jisoo, girls group Jisoo, Twice, Fifty Fifty, Seventeen and aespa were mentioned in the list.

On the work front, V recently made his solo album debut with 'Layover', which became a chartbuster soon after its release. The album has six songs: 'For You', 'Blue', 'Slow Dancing', 'Rainy Days', 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing (Piano Version). BigHit Music released an official statement on Weverse and said, "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. Layover consists of six tracks in total – five tracks and a bonus track. To fully appreciate the album’s flow, we recommend listening to it in sequence from start to finish."
"The music videos for all five tracks will also be revealed. V will showcase amazing new performances and make various appearances alongside the album’s release. Please stay tuned and continue to support V as he embarks on his new solo journey," BigHit Music added.
Jungkook made his solo debut with the singles 'Seven' and '3D' and made his album debut with 'Golden'. He also hosted a 'Golden Live On Stage' concert for his fans in Seoul, which is also streaming live on the social media app Weverse.

Talking about Jisoo's solo career, the Kpop idol has reportedly been approached to star in another show opposite 'Start-Up' actor Park Jung-Min. She will be seen in the show 'Influenza', which is based on a novel written by author Han Sang-woon.

As per the latest reports, Jisoo has been cast to play a leading role in the film adaptation of the popular webtoon 'Omniscient Reader' and will be seen alongside Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop. The webtoon revolves around Dokja, who is an average office worker and shows a great interest in reading the web novel 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.' His life turns upside down when the novel's story becomes a reality and he is the only person who is aware of how the world will end.
