The opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2025 takes place on Tuesday, May 13, at 7:15 PM local time (10:45 PM IST). The entire festival will be streamed live 24/7 on the official Festival de Cannes YouTube channel and Cannes website. The viewers can watch red carpet moments, press conferences, the main competition and other updates on Cannes' social media handles.

Tom Cruise will be making his notable appearance as his movie Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14. Robert De Niro will receive the Palme d'Or d'Honneur for lifetime achievement. Later in the festival, on May 18, Nicole Kidman will be recognized with the Women in Motion Award. Indian Celebrities At Cannes 2025
Alia Bhatt will be making her debut at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival this year. She will be gracing the festival as the global brand ambassador of L'Oréal Paris. The OG of Cannes, Aishwarya Rai, is again set to light up Cannes with her fashion game.
Filmmaker Payal Kapadia, who made waves with her directorial Malayalam movie All We Imagine As Light and won the Grand Prix at Cannes in 2024, will be seen gracing prestigious film festival this year as a jury member.
Sharmila Tagore will attend a special screening at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, showcasing the 4K restored version of Satyajit Ray's classic film Aranyer Din Ratri, in which she starred along with Soumitra Chatterjee.
