About Captain Miller

Dhanush garnered widespread acclaim for his exceptional portrayal and intense action sequences in the movie, which was written and directed by Arun Matheswaran. The impactful dialogues, penned by Madhan Karky, significantly enriched the film's narrative. The star-studded cast includes Dhanush, Shiva Rajkumar, and Priyanka Mohan in pivotal roles, supported by a diverse ensemble featuring talents like John Kokken, Sundeep Kishan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Nassar, as well as international artists like Mark Bennington and Edward Sonnenblick, among others.

Set in British India during the 1930s-1940s, 'Captain Miller' is a high-budget Tamil action entertainer that centers on the narrative of an outlaw. The film is notorious for his participation in bloody loots, heists, and assaults.

Talking about the film, Arun Matheswaran told The Hindu, "This is a story about the oppressed fighting for freedom. My uncle was in the Army and the idea originated from everything he told me when I was a child. I have also taken some inspiration from the events that happened in the 1980s during the Sri Lankan Civil War. I worked out a story based on all of that, but materialising that script in that original form wasn’t possible; many producers were apprehensive because it was based on the Sri Lankan War. I had to let that story rest for over two years, and then I thought of basing it on the British Army to make it more acceptable."
