Captain Miller Vs Ayalaan Box Office Collection Day 8: The Dhanush-starrer made a spectacular debut in theaters during this Pongal season, attracting considerable attention and achieving an impressive opening at the box office. The much-anticipated film has not just met but surpassed expectations, receiving acclaim from both critics and audiences. Taking advantage of the Pongal holidays and the ensuing weekend, 'Captain Miller' showcased its resilient performance throughout the initial eight days after its premiere, establishing a formidable presence in the box office. Similarly, Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' continues its successful run at the theaters.

Captain Miller Box Office Report:

Arun Matheswaran directed the period action-adventure film, produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under Sathya Jyothi Films, 'Captain Miller' is enjoying a successful run at the ticket windows. Released on January 12, 2024, coinciding with Pongal celebrations, Dhanush takes on the lead role, accompanied by a skilled cast featuring Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, and Edward Sonnenblick.

Experiencing a notable downturn on its sighth day, the period drama, nevertheless, has achieved a commendable domestic gross of over Rs 40 crore. Since its release, the Dhanush-starrer has demonstrated a remarkable performance at the Indian box office. 'Captain Miller' kicked off with an impressive opening collection of Rs 8.7 crore. Despite experiencing slight declines in its weekday collections, the film recorded an estimated net income of around Rs 1 crore on its Day 8, bringing the total to Rs 41.66 crore. With an overall 15.67 per cent Tamil Occupancy on Friday, January 19, 2024, the film is on track to soon surpass the Rs 50 crore mark in the domestic box office.

Ayalaan Box Office Report:

'Ayalaan' made a commendable start at the box office, raking in an initial day collection of Rs 3.45 crores. Sustaining its momentum, the film continued to perform well with collections of Rs 4.85 crores on day 2 and Rs 5.65 crores on day 3. Despite facing the Monday test during Pongal celebrations, it managed to secure Rs 6.62 crores. On the fifth day, 'Ayalaan' garnered Rs 6.60 crore, and with a slight dip on the sixth day, it earned Rs 5.50 crore, bringing the total collection to Rs 33.10 crores. However, the eighth day again saw a significant drop, with the film earning Rs 1.25 crore. With this, the total now stands at Rs 35.95 crore.

Directed by R. Ravikumar, the film features a stellar ensemble cast including Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, and Bala Saravanan.
