In a recent interview with Raj Shamani on his YouTube channel, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu shared her perspective on the 2023 film 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor. Despite not having watched the movie, Taapsee expressed her reservations about it, emphasizing the responsibility that comes with the power of being a star.

'Animal', a 2023 blockbuster, garnered immense commercial success, crossing the Rs 912 crore mark worldwide. However, it faced criticism for allegedly glorifying misogynistic and violent behaviour. Taapsee, known for her outspoken views, shed light on why she wouldn't have chosen to be a part of such a film.

Taapsee acknowledged the opinions circulating about "Animal" but stressed the importance of understanding the cultural context in India. Distinguishing Hollywood and Bollywood, she stated, "You cannot compare our film industries with Hollywood and say 'Why are these pseudos talking like this about Animal when they can enjoy Gone Girl as an art'? Understand the difference.”
