Chhaava Controversy: Chhaava, which stars Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna is one of the year's most anticipated movies. Even while the movie's trailer was well received when it was dropped a few days ago, some people were dissatisfied with the movie's creators for a particular dance sequence.

Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Vicky Kaushal) and Yesubai Bhonsale (Rashmika Mandanna) were performing a lezim dance sequence in the movie. The fact that Maratha warrior was dancing was a source of ire for many social media users and even some political figures.

According to the India Today report, Laxman Utekar, the director of Chhaava, has acknowledged in a statement that the lezim dance sequence will be removed from the movie.

The decision came to a conclusion following the filmmaker's discussion with Raj Thackeray, the head of the MNS. According to Laxman Utekar's official statement made public to the media, nothing is more significant than the Maratha king's legacy, and it was only a dance routine.

"I have met Raj Thackeray. He is an avid reader and studious person. So I have taken some suggestions and guidance from him. And I can say, his words are very helpful for me. And after meeting him, I have decided to delete those scenes where we have shown Sambhaji Maharaj was playing Lezim dance," read the filmmaker's statement.

The statement concluded, saying, "Lezim dance is not a big deal. Sambhaji Maharaj is very much bigger than that Lezim dance. So we are going to remove those scenes from film."
