Vicky Kaushal, known for his versatile acting, is all set to mesmerize audiences with his portrayal of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the upcoming historical film 'Chhava.' Directed by Laxman Utekar and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, the film has generated significant buzz, especially after leaked images from the sets showcasing Vicky's regal look surfaced online.

In the leaked pictures, Vicky can be seen in a majestic avatar, sporting a long beard and his hair tied in a traditional bun, reminiscent of Lord Shiva. He dons a beige sleeveless jacket, a light brown dhoti, and traditional accessories, exuding the aura of royalty. The images hint at the grandeur and authenticity that the film promises to deliver.

'Chhava' is a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This film marks the first collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the role of Yesubai Bhonsale, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's wife.

Rashmika Mandanna recently wrapped up her shoot for the film and expressed her gratitude towards director Laxman Utekar and co-star Vicky Kaushal for their collaboration. She praised Utekar's calm and poise in handling a massive set with over 1500 working people and credited him for extracting a remarkable performance from her.

Addressing Vicky as Maharaj, Rashmika expressed her admiration for the actor's warmth and kindness on set, stating that it was a pleasure working with him. She also shared that her performance in the film has been something she is excited for the world to see, thanks to the direction and support of the team.

'Chhava' is being produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and is scheduled to release on December 6, 2024. Apart from 'Chhava,' Vicky Kaushal will also be seen in 'Bad Newz' and 'Love & War,' while Rashmika Mandanna has a lineup of Telugu films including 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' 'Rainbow,' and 'The Girlfriend.'
