Chiyaan Vikram is gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated movie Tangalaan. Vikram recently attended the audio launch event of Thangalaan where he opened up about the movie. Calling it the “toughest” role of his career, the actor revealed that he was in hospital for three years.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Vikram said, “In an accident, my leg was broken, and doctors said I would never walk again. I was in the hospital for 3 years and had to undergo 23 surgeries, but due to passion and self-confidence, I bounced back.”
The highly anticipated Indian Tamil-language action adventure film, Thangalaan is set to captivate the audience worldwide. Directed by the acclaimed Pa. Ranjith and produced by Studio Green, Neelam Productions, and Jio Studios, this epic tale follows the journey of Thangalaan, a fearless tribal leader, played by the versatile Vikram, as he navigates the challenges of the British Raj.
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Vettai Muthukumar, Krish Hassan, Arjun Anbudan, and Sampath Ram, each bringing their unique talents to the story.
Thangalaan's quest begins when he incurs the wrath of Aarathi, a mysterious sorceress, after assisting British general Lord Clement in his pursuit of gold in their village. As Thangalaan sets out to stop Aarathi, the film takes audiences on a thrilling adventure through stunning landscapes and treacherous terrain.
Thangalaan is slated for a worldwide release on August 15, 2024, coinciding with India's Independence Day, in both standard and 3D formats, promising an immersive cinematic experience for audiences globally.
