Crew 2 Update: Kareena Kapoor-Tabu's Bollywood Movie's Sequel On Cards? Rhea Kapoor CONFIRMS

Crew 2 Update: Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon's film has emerged as a box office success. It enjoyed a strong opening and has maintained steady performance throughout its first week. Following this, Rajesh A Krishnan's heist comedy affirmed its plans for a sequel and discussed the potential of transforming Crew into a franchise. Against the backdrop of three friends working as cabin crew for Kohinoor Airlines, the storyline explores how their tranquil lives are thrown into disarray by a complex predicament engineered by someone with ulterior motives.

Crew 2 on cards?

Crew embarked on its cinematic voyage with a strong beginning at the box office, amassing an impressive Rs 30 crore during its opening weekend. Amid this, Rhea Kapoor has confirmed the sequel of the film. She told Variety, "I really get scared of sequels, I’m so afraid of them, Ekta (Kapoor, co-producer) gets so annoyed with me… but this is the first film where I finished the film and a week later, my writers have messaged me and told me that they have an idea for the sequel. I was like, this is crazy. This is insane. There’s so much excitement and joy around this film that this time I might actually just do it. But I actually think that this film could make a really fun sequel because the end is open ended."

Rhea and Ektaa have also announced their collaboration on a sequel to their 2018 film 'Veere Di Wedding,' featuring Kareena, Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor, and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles. "It’s a work in progress, but it’s happening and it’s exciting. It’s going to take a bit, but I feel like we’re getting there. It’s a rediscovery of what the spirit of Veere Di Wedding was, so it’s not going to be what people expect," Rhea added.
